The Imliv River Valley, softback adventure for AD&D 1st edition and any fantasy RPG, by Scott Roy

“Adventure in the magical Grimbolwood! Caught between two fighting gobln tribes, the gnomes of the Hilberry Hills are unable to deliver their goods. A party of adventurers is needed to brave the horrors of Grimbolwood and save the town of Drimilv. The Imliv River Valley is an exciting role-playing adventure designed for use with almost any fantasy role-playing system.

Supply lines cut by the newborn war of two goblin tribes, your peaceful, farming home on the banks of the Imliv River is in the greatest danger it has ever known. You chosen few must travel through the mysterious and dangerous Grimbolwood to stop the goblin war peacefully, thus allowing the gnome merchants of the Hilberry Hills safe passage into Drmilv, your home. It has been a month now without the essential goods a small village comes to need. You must commence at once!

This adventure applies some of the long forgotten qualities of role-playing, testing the player’s wit and cunning rather than their die rolls. Instead of the normal desolation of all goblin life in a ten mile radius, you must try to negotiate between the two powerful tribes to set a truce. The wilderness setting allows play to flow easily in any direction, though not relying solely on luck. The characters have been specially suited with their own equipment and clever personalities of their own, all of which is designed to bring out the best role-playing possible.”

Super-rare adventure published by Labyrinth Games of Illinois some time in the early 1980s. While the adventure itself is genuinely system-neutral, the included pre-generated characters all have AD&D stats. Condition is generally GOOD to VERY GOOD. The most notable negatives are some foxing and quite extensive staple rust.
