This is the ‘Holmes Basic’ edition of Dungeons & Dragons – the first ‘basic’ set of the game. It was sold both as a boxed set and as a single 48-page softback rulebook. This sixth printing was published at a time when there was a global shortage of dice. Because of this, the rulebook came with a sheet of laminated dice chits (i.e. small numbered pieces of card that you were required to cut out and put in bags to replace dice). This copy has the sheet of chits COMPLETE and UNCUT.
